As a college student transplanted from the Midwest and currently living here in Baltimore, I’ve come to appreciate this city as having its own unique energy and life force. Baltimore is a large and diverse place, and despite the differences between its citizens, there is great pride in the city and a willingness to work for the greater good that I haven’t encountered anywhere else. The name abbreviation “Bmore” is appropriate in my opinion because Baltimore is constantly being reinvented into something more and something better. The power for reinvention and renewal is directly in the hands of the people who live here, and I believe that when an initiative comes along like the Urban Forest Project, people will take notice and take action.
