Recycle Cycle

I’m embarrassed to admit that it took me over two and a half years of living in Baltimore to start recycling. I’ve always recycled in every other city I’ve lived it, but quite frankly I just could not figure out this “system.” It didn't help that none of my neighbors seemed to recycle either, so it wasn’t like anyone was leading by example. Luckily, Baltimore’s new recycling program seems to have changed for the better.

I chose the ubiquitous “recycle” symbol to create my pattern of trees. It’s a simple, yet effective graphic representation of the little things we can do to make the world a better, and more sustainable place
