Besides beautifying a city, trees are necessary ecologically and psychologically. To see trees and live among them, I believe, is an element needed to achieve a sense of well being. A community garden or grove of trees can bring neighborhoods together to nurture the new growth. This unity can bring peace between neighbors and promote understanding.
