Charm City Loves Trees

Sponsored by Live Baltimore

What makes you smile more than trees: my poster “Charm City Loves Trees.” From the beginning, I decided to create a banner that not only emphasizes the importance of urban foresting, but a banner that reminds those who live in Baltimore what earned this city its nickname, “Charm City.” For years, Baltimore has been built into a tourist attraction which generates income and jobs in the city but has lost bits of its “charm” due to the crime and violence in the underdeveloped areas. Every city has its problems and there is no perfect solution for every problem–but trees help. My daily run to Federal Hill Park is something that I enjoy the most ever since I moved to Federal Hill 6 months ago. If one every wonders: there are always smiles in that park. Whether there are children playing or workers taking a break on a bench, just to enjoy the weather, the truth is: we are always pleased when trees are around. Try, take a walk to any park in the city, you won’t be sad.
